captain turns a workforce spreadsheet into a short, evidence-backed brief that an HR leader can act on.
Who it's for. HR analysts and people analytics teams who need to explain what their workforce data means, and the HR leaders they brief.
How it works.
Set up. The analyst uploads one or two CSV or Excel files, matches the columns and sets the order of rating labels. Files are read in memory and never saved.
Run. captain's code calculates every figure: headcount, joiners and leavers, attrition, where losses are concentrated, confirmed departures and talent signals. Groups too small to report safely are hidden.
Review the draft. Code writes every finding. An AI model only chooses which findings come first, and never sees employee rows, group names or exit reasons.
Add context. The HR leader marks each finding as known, expected or new, and adds notes.
Publish. The analyst publishes the brief with the leader's context, and can download it as a PDF.
A guided demo uses fictional data for a company called Northstar Technologies.
